Scope Of Work

Mine development of six new open pits, resettlement and relocation, highway diversion, new processing facility. Scope of work also includes ore loading, hauling and stockpile maintenance.

Project Description

The mine, which began in 2008, is now producing high-quality metallurgical coal after one of the world's longest mobilization operations. Due to its remote location 600 km South Kalimantan, the haul truck fleet had to be assembled at a border town in Makassar Strait and driven for three and a half days across the desert to reach the mine site. Extreme weather conditions, including severe dust storms in summer and winter, also posed challenges.

Successfully managing such extremes proves our ability to mobilise and operate remote mine sites, as well as our everlasting dedication to our customer and the community. Wherever possible, our team employs local workers and trains them in operations, mining planning, and supervisory responsibilities. Ironcladresources oversaw all mining operations at the South Kalimantan Coal Mine, including pit dewatering, drilling and blasting, overburden removal, coal loading and trucking, mine planning, engineering, and fleet management and maintenance. Ironcladresources will continue to provide asset management services, such as strategic planning, supply chain management, and maintenance, to Tanah Bumbu Resources's mine in South Kalimantan.
